Vijay Deverakonda Reveals WHY He Auctioned His Award For A ‘Good Chunk Of Money’ That He ‘Gave Away’- DEETS INSIDE
Vijay Deverakonda recently opened up about how he either gave away his awards or auctioned one of it for money
Actor Vijay Deverakonda became one of the most sought celebrities in the entertainment industry due to his versatile performances and calm demeanour. Having become a household name due to many blockbuster movies including Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial Arjun Reddy, he is often credited for his performances during award shows. Now, as he awaits the release of his upcoming film, he opened up about how he is not a fan of awards, certificates, or trophies.
As reported by the Free Press Journal, he opened up about how he either gave away his awards or auctioned one of them for money. Talking about how he often gives way a lot of his trophies, Deverakonda mentions that some might be kept in his office, some are kept by his mother, and others he tends to just give it away. The Kushi actor went on to state that he even auctioned off his Filmfare Best Actor award so that he could donate the money. Calling it a nice memory, Vijay shared, “We auctioned it and got a good chunk of money that we gave away. I think that’s a nicer memory for me than a piece of stone in my house.” In the same interview, he also spoke about choosing to do films that aren’t “too dark or too niche” as he has a fan base that consists of the youth as well as old people and he needs to entertain all of them. On the work front, Vijay Deverakonda was last seen in Kushi, co-starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu. He has Parasuram Petla directorial Family Star alongside Mrunal Thakur. He also has an untitled project with Gowtam Tinnanuri in his pipeline. It is being stated that actress Rashmika Mandanna has replaced Sreeleela in the movie.
